Leadership Academy to Explore Ethics, Prepare Students for Contest Offering $15,000 in Scholarships

A six-part Leadership Academy on Ethics will provide Middle Level and Secondary students a unique learning opportunity as they explore critical issues in ethical leadership. Sessions begin on November 15 and conclude December 20. They will be held Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET on Zoom. Participants who must miss a live session can watch a recording and complete the exercises on their own. The instruction will

  • increase student awareness of ethics and ethical principles.

  • facilitate student skill development in recognizing and addressing ethical dilemmas.

  • encourage creative thought, problem solving and ethical decision-making.

  • stimulate reflection on processes, performances and outcomes.

The Leadership Academy will also prepare students to compete in the Ethics Awareness Challenge video competition, which will occur in January 2022. The contest will award $15,000 in scholarships to Middle Level and Secondary winners. The Leadership Academy and Ethics Awareness Challenge are free for BPA members and sponsored by MBA Research & Curriculum Center and the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative.
