National Officers Adopt "Executive Council" NameThe student leaders of Business Professionals of America, officially referred to as the "Executive Council" in our organization's governing documents, but informally referred to as the "National Officers" for countless years, are asking BPA stakeholders to shift our organizational terminology. Given that we now have an international student officer, the term "National Officer" no longer aligns appropriately with every member of the team. "In an effort to be more inclusive and reflect that members of our team can come from any BPA chapter, we will be referred to as the Executive Council, collectively, and as Executive Officers, individually,” said John Lucas Guimaraes, Post-secondary National President. The Secondary Division Executive Council is composed of up to six officers and the Post-secondary Division Executive Council is composed of up to four officers. Grace (Siyue) Tang, elected the 2021-2022 Secondary Division Secretary, is from an international independent chapter in China. The National BPA website and other resources will be updated to reflect this new terminology. Meet the Secondary and Post-secondary members of the Executive Council. |
