Weeks 4–6: Developing Leadership & Workplace Readiness

In the next phase of the certification, students will deepen their confidence as emerging professionals by building essential leadership and employability skills. Through practical lessons and real-world application, participants will learn how to manage their time, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others in meaningful ways. These sessions are designed to help members strengthen the soft skills that prepare them for both BPA leadership and future careers.

Lesson 1: Time Management & SMART Goals – Learn how to prioritize tasks, manage responsibilities, and set clear, achievable goals using the SMART framework.

Lesson 2: Professional Communication – Develop verbal and written communication skills that build credibility, strengthen relationships, and support leadership success.

Lesson 3: Team Collaboration & Emotional Intelligence – Explore how to work effectively with others, understand different perspectives, and lead with empathy in group settings.

By the end of Week 6, students will feel more prepared to take on leadership roles, communicate with confidence, and contribute positively to teams in BPA and beyond.
