3.4 During the Event

NLC Administrator Training Non-Judged Events 3.4 During the Event

As the contest administrator, it's your responsibility to ensure the event runs on schedule. Competitors who are not dressed according to the dress code should be asked to go back to their room and change into proper attire; however, they will receive only the time remaining for the contest… no additional time will be provided. There is no internet access or use during the test. Once you have students seated and you are ready to begin, distribute the tests and ask the students to not open the test until instructed to do so. Once the test starts, please ensure the door is closed and there are no interruptions. Please be aware that on occasion a student is rescheduled due to a conflict. They will have a conflict resolution form. Please check with headquarters if you have a question about a conflict. If you are unclear as to whether a student should test, please allow them to. Add their name and badge number to the sign-in sheet and alert HQ when the event is finished. If a student arrives late, they may compete but are not given any additional time unless they have an event pass.
